This one couldn't have been any more elegant. Katie and Michael created quite the fairytale wedding day! Starting off the day in style, Katie and the girls were getting ready in The Regal Diane Suite while the boys were off putting on their bow ties and tuxedos with the beautiful Chicago city as their backdrop. The ceremony was held at the St. James Chapel Church in downtown Chicago which became our inspiration for their wedding stationery. How could we not incorporate those stained glass windows!
Wedding Invitations can be so many things, but for me, wedding invitations need to speak to the event and the couple. They need to be special, unique and very much custom to the wedding day! Katie and I worked together closely to create something that nobody has seen before. Stationery that was custom to Katie and Michael. We used the St. James stained glass windows as inspiration. I drew the stained glass window outline for her invitations and incorporated that design element throughout her wedding stationery (menus, programs, rehearsal dinner invitations, signs, etc.) . The invitations were printed on cream paper with navy blue and gold foil accents, wrapped up with a classic navy blue pocket folder and sealed with a custom gold wax seal. The wedding invitations were so elegant and classy and I had a really great time working together with Katie and Michael to create these one of a kind stationery pieces for their wedding day. Enjoy the beautiful day!
